Identifying Your Customer Segments

Outline your potential customer segments. Who are your ideal customers? Try to be as specific as possible. It can’t be “anyone” or “women,” or “students,” or a similar broad group. A good description of a customer segment might be “eco-conscious undergrad students,” or “women in managerial roles.” You want to be as specific as possible.
You should have at least one and no more than five possible customer segments. You will explore the feasibility of these segments during customer discovery. Now, you just need a rough draft of who your customers might be.
