You have a great idea for a product. You know, though, that that’s only 10% of the secret to a successful business. Finding customers, figuring out how to generate revenue, getting partners – those are the real key to a profitable enterprise. In this session, we’ll use the Business Model Canvas, the same core tool used in the NSF I-Corps program, to help ideate the details of how to actually run your business.

By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Understand the Business Model Canvas and its role in launching a resilient business
  • Apply the Canvas methodology to your business idea
  • Identify potential customer segments and key partnerships for an effective go-to-market plan
  • Build a revenue model, cost estimates, and other financial concepts
